SWEET DREAMS SET FOR OSCAR RACE
Sweet Dreams has been selected as the Netherlands’ official entry for the International Feature Film Oscar race. The second feature from award-winning writer/director Ena Sendijarević, world premiered in Locarno’s Concorso Internazionale, where it received the Pardo for Best Performance for Renée Soutendijk and the Second Prize of the Junior Jury. The film is set to celebrate its North-American premiere in the Centerpiece section of the Toronto International Film Festival.
Ena’s debut feature Take Me Somewhere Nice (2019) screened at numerous festivals worldwide, including ACID Cannes, sweeping up several awards among which the IFFR Special Jury Award for Exceptional Artistic Achievement and the Heart of Sarajevo (Sarajevo Film Festival). Previously her short film Import (2016) world premiered in Cannes Quinzaine.
