Heretic Films Score Nine Nominations at the Hellenic Film Academy Awards
Following an array of acclaimed festival runs, Heretic’s 2023 productions scored a total of 9 Nominations at the 2024 Hellenic Film Academy Awards (Iris).
A top up to last years’ Best Film Award winner, Magnetic Fields, which left the ceremony with an extra four awards, including the Best First – Time Director Award, Best Screenplay and Best Actress.
This Year Tops Up With:
Berlinale Panorama title Inside, starring Willem Dafoe.
Vasilis’ Katsoupis’ stunning debut breaks into the Iris Awards with a whooping 7 nominations including:
– Best Film (𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯)
– Best Director for Vasilis Katsoupis
– Best Actor for Willem Dafoe
Followed by BAFTA, EFA, BIFA & Un Certain Awarded How to Have Sex by Molly Manning Walker, nominated for the Co-Production Award.
Finally, Eirini Vianelli’s Sarajevo stunner, Ready, closes the nomination cycle with the Best Animated Short nomination.
The (Iris) Hellenic Academy Awards are set to take place on June 26th at the Onassis Stegi.
