Two Lottery Tickets
by Paul Negoescu
Synopsis
Somewhere in the midst of the Romanian outback lives Dinel, a man with a moustache and curly hair who seems to be down on his luck: his customers at the garage are an unhappy bunch and his wages barely cover an after-work beer – which is also the reason his wife recently left him.
Things take a turn for the better, when Dinel unexpectedly wins six million Euros playing the lottery. However, there is still the problem of his ticket being located in his bum bag, which has just been nabbed by two wannabe gangsters. Together with his best buddies, Sile and Pompiliu, Dine sets off on a madcap journey in search of his winning scrap of paper, a trip that brings him into contact with paranoid potheads, enterprising clairvoyants and would-be singers, in this award-winning comedy and box office smash in its native Romania.
